Discussions on findings
This chapter will discuss the results that have come about
from the questionnaire that was conducted. The results will
be displayed in graph form, the actual results are shown in
the appendices in full unaltered form.
Question 1

Figure 1 - Individual performance
Throughout the organisation nearly half of the employees
believe that they are adequately rewarded for their performance.
This means that the reward system, be it financial or recognition
is pitched at the correct level.
Question 2

Figure 2 - Pay increase
Most people are neutral about whether pay increase are
handled fairly, although the second biggest category is agree,
this percentage should be higher so the methods that are used
to determine pay rises may need to be refined. This could
of course have been affected by staff who have not received
a pay rise.
Question 3

Figure 3 - Team performance
The results from this seem pretty similar to the graph
before, although the employees seem less agreeable to team
performance rewards than personal rewards, this could be down
to the fact that teams are not rewarded as highly as individuals,
or it is harder for a team to receive rewards as they are
expected to produce better work.
Question 4

Figure 4 - Fair appraisal
Many of the employees believe that the appraisal process
is very fair, this seems a little bit in contrast to the previous
answers were the employees believed that performance may not
have been rewarded to the correct extent. The questions brigs
about the first strongly agree answers, so some employees
are very happy that they received a fair appraisal.
Question 5

Figure 5 - Flexible benefits
The flexible benefits program would seem to be favourable
with the employees as this has a very strong agreement from
the employees, this means that the employees recognise that
the harder they work the greater the benefit that they will
receive. If this were the case then it would make sense that
the employees would be highly motivated to work hard.
